Where it al started

Armatrack began not in a factory, but in the moments of reflection accompanying the hunts — the quiet certainty that the moment you shoulder your rifle, the stock should feel like it was always meant to be there.

Our story starts in Iași, Romania and in the field and forests that surrounds it— a city of history, learning, and quiet grandeur. Iași is the capital of the Moldova region, shaped by the legacy of medieval rulers like Ștefan cel Mare, by centuries of culture, and by the rhythm of university life. The Metropolitan Cathedral, the Palace of Culture, the streets of Copou, Piața Unirii, and the new Palas area blend old and new in a way that feels natural, refined, and alive. It is a place where ideas and craftsmanship meet, and where long‑standing tradition meets the pulse of the present.

It was here, in this city, that the idea for Armatrack took root.

From passion to purpose

Armatrack was founded in 2024 by Dragos Perju, who began hunting in 2019. At first, it was a way to escape the city. Over time, it became a way of life — a deep connection to the land, to the rhythm of the seasons, and to the responsibility that comes with being in the field.

In 2023, he started his own personal YouTube channel called Romanian Hunting Stories, where he shares this motto about his passion: “Hunting always reminds us that life and death are nature’s ways of stepping upwards on the ladder of evolution. We, hunters, wear the burden of making sure that nature’s wonderful creatures never go extinct. We protect the fields and the woodlands from poachers. We take only what it is right to be taken and we do so with profound respect, making room for the young and new. We are the most important investors in Earth’s wildlife future”. This line captures something central to the Armatrack identity: a deep respect for the balance of nature, and the responsibility that comes with owning and using a rifle.

Alongside his hunting life, Dragos built a career in product and management roles and his previous experience as an Entrepreneur, Software Engineer, Development Manager and Product Owner, combined with his passion for the outdoors and wildlife conservation, became the foundation for Armatrack.

From idea to finished product

At Armatrack we spent the last one and a half years to transform an idea into reality. The A1 has been shaped by countless hours of design, research, testing, and refinement — not just in the workshop, but in the field as well. The design was evolved to match real‑world use: long days in the cold, shooting in the wind, carrying the rifle through the forest, and waiting for the right moments.

Every Armatrack rifle stock is made with a human touch. The carbon fibre is processed with state‑of‑the‑art consolidation equipment, but the final result still depends on craftsmen who understand that a stock must be both beautiful and strong. Every layer of carbon fibre is manually place in the in-house built metal molds and all the post curing treatments, finishes and configurations based on the customer’s order details are carefully handled. The stock, trigger guard, and the rifle stock elements were all designed in‑house by people who not only engineer rifle stocks — they also hunt with them.

That matters. Because when the stock is pressed into your shoulder, it is not a product from a distant factory that you cannot relate to. It is a tool shaped by hands that care about performance, about aesthetics, and about the moment when everything depends on a single shot.
